Grassroots to D.C.

AgTech Scientific was founded as a grassroots movement to garner support from rural and local farmers and pursue change at the legislative level in Washington and beyond. This effort culminated in the 2018 passage of the Farm Bill. For its efforts, AgTech Scientific has received support from the offices of Senator Mitch McConnell, Governor Matt Bevin, Agricultural Commissioner Ryan Quarles, Bourbon County Executives, Central Bank, BB&T Bank and many more.

Humble Beginnings

AgTech Scientific was established in 2015 as a pet food research project with an emphasis on dosage and delivery of CBD to pets and equine. Today AgTech Scientific employs over 400 people in the United States and is one of America's largest vertically integrated hemp producers with over 7,000,000 plants harvested in 2019.

A Brief History

2016

Started personal trials with CBD and pets to understand the market. Began investigating Canadian, US and international supply opportunities.

2017

Settled in Kentucky in early 2017. Incorporated Enhanced Pet Sciences Corp. (“EPS”) and raised seed capital. Signed Master Agreement with the University of Kentucky to start Pet and Equine clinical trials. Incorporated AgTech Scientific in KY. Received permits to grow hemp in 2017.

2018

Received grants and tax incentives of over $5MM from state of KY and granted land in Bourbon County Business Park. Planted 80 acres with local farmers in 2018; all farmers became shareholders. Color Point, a top 10 US high-tech greenhouse with $75MM in sales and 400 employees located just outside of Lexington agrees to joint venture. Broke ground on October 18, 2018 for new 50,000 sq. ft. GMP extraction & manufacturing center in Bourbon County Business Park.

2019

University of Kentucky pet and equine clinical trials are in their third year. Color Point and AgTech Scientific execute binding agreement to merge operations after passage of the Farm Bill. Company activates the purchasing of industrial scale extraction, distillation, separation, and product manufacturing lines to complete the $20+MM build out to GMP standards. AgTech and Color Point close their merger and subsequent $30MM financing from BB&T Bank. AgTech Scientific Corp. aims to be the largest provider of hemp derived ingredients and consumer packaged goods to mass market conglomerates in the coming years.
